David Bookbinder
David Bookbinder is a psychotherapist, writer, photographer and teacher near Boston. As a therapist, he works primarily with artists, children, couples and people with addictive behaviors. He came to psychotherapy after a transformative near-death experience that shifted him toward his present work as artist and healer. He sees his vocation as a calling and is a regular presenter at the Creativity & Madness conference in Santa Fe. David blogs for the spirituality portal Beliefnet.com, where he promotes the use of art as a means for healing and personal transformation--the primary purposes it has served for him. Bookbinder currently enjoys transforming photographs of flowers into mandala like images, which won an Artist Fellowship grant in photography from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and have been exhibited at galleries and museums in Boston and NYC. The Flower Mandalas are featured in his soon to be published fourth book, Fifty-Two Flower Mandalas, a Kickstarter.com project.
