Colin Gray

Colin is a writer with extensive experience in both the public and private sector. He worked in Ontario's Premier’s office, Dalton McGuinty writing speeches and reports for Premier McGuinty as well as several other cabinet ministers. In late 2004 Colin joined the office of Health and Long Term Care Minister George Smitherman, where he served as speechwriter and Director of Communications until August of 2006, when he left to form Shades of Gray Communications. In addition to several Ontario government ministries, Colin Gray’s many clients include John Wright of Ipsos Reid, the Health Council of Canada and the Canadian Club of Toronto. He has also written and edited reports for organizations like Scotiabank, Toronto Community Housing and Canada Health Infoway. Before taking up speechwriting, Colin Gray was a reporter with CTV National News where he covered news stories from one side of the country to the other.
