Ivonne Meeuwsen
Ivonne Meeuwsen is an author of several books on child sexual abuse, one of which has been translated into English. This book, “I Thrive! Healing from Child Sexual Abuse,” tells the story of Ivonne's personal experiences with child sexual abuse, her journey to healing, and the professional experience she has working with survivors of child sexual abuse in her own private practice as a coach and social worker. The book describes how sexual abuse impacts a child and what its long-term effects are. Far from being a victim's sob story, the book provides valuable information on how to heal. It is on mandatory reading lists for social workers and/or psychologists in two Dutch universities. Ivonne Meeuwsen has made it her life's work to educate survivors, therapists, and others about healing from abuse. She is a popular speaker at several Dutch universities. She gives masterclasses on the topic and organizes symposia on healing from child sexual abuse.
