Susan Kosman
Susan Kosman, DNP, MS, RN is the Chief Nursing Officer for Aetna. Kosman leads nursing strategy, which includes establishing a nursing presence in national health care and nursing communities, developing internal nursing roles and the business roles that support them, workforce planning and leadership development. She began her career with Aetna in 1995 as northeast region manager of government programs. Prior to Aetna, Kosman spent 10 years in the home health industry.
Kosman is Chair of the American Heart Association Greater Hartford chapter and represents Aetna at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center to Champion Nursing Coalition.
She holds a BS in Nursing from SUNY Downstate, a Masters’ in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University and a Doctorate, Nurse Practitioner from Sacred Heart University.
