Cathy Hong came to the U.S. in 1975 as a Vietnamese refugee with her mom and four siblings. Her dad eventually reconnected with them. She shares her powerful story of coming to America with us. Most recently, she was on the mergers and acquisitions team at a financial services firm. Previously, she worked at Alliance Technology Partners, specializing in media and telecommunications, and at UPS's Strategic Enterprise Fund, where she focused on logistics and wireless infrastructure firms. She has been a venture consultant to Turner Broadcasting, First Sports International, and others. She received her M.B.A. from the Emory University and B.S. from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona.
