Jill Vanderwood
Jill Vanderwood, mother, grandmother, and author of eight books, is an expert in children’s and young adults’ problems with bullying and cyberbullying. Jill wrote her most recent book, “Erase the Problem of Bullying,” because one of her grandchildren was being bullied at school. Jill understood the problem because she was also bullied while she was growing up. She then gathered information from an NBA All Star who almost missed having his basketball career because of bullying, a former prisoner who now helps troubled youths find better ways of getting what they need, a retired judge, and others who deal with bullies. She shares insights into bullying from the perspective of both the victim and the bully. Jill provides information and describes resources that can help both kids and parents learn their rights and protect themselves and others from bullying. People can and do survive bullying and build successful lives.
