Dr. Abdellah Cherkaoui

Abdellah Cherkaoui is Volta’s Vice-President of Government Market Development, Public Policy & Utilities Relations. Before joining Volta, Dr. Cherkaoui managed an independent consultancy firm for the development of technology platforms for sustainable electric mobility and energy management in North America and Europe, and led the European operational, evangelization and business development efforts of ChargePoint, a well-established startup in the field of electric vehicle charging and payment solutions, which received numerous awards and accolades amongst others the Time Magazine 50 Best Inventions of 2010 and the 2009 Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Award in E-Mobility. Abdellah holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and a Master's degree in engineering from the Rabat School of Mines in Morocco. Abdellah is a Fulbright Doctoral Fellow and a NASA International Fellow.
