Edward Cone, Deputy Director of Thought Leadership and Technology Practice Lead at Oxford Economics, oversees global research programs and is responsible for the Thought Leadership group’s social media and multimedia programs. His areas of expertise include cloud computing, the Internet of Things, the impact of technology on business performance, and healthcare organizations. Ed joined the firm in 2012 after over two decades as a business and technology journalist based in New York, Paris, and North Carolina, including stints as an editor and senior writer at Ziff Davis magazines (CIO Insight, Baseline, InteractiveWeek), a contributing editor at Wired, and a staff writer at Forbes. An early adopter of social media, his case study on the use of the internet in presidential campaigns and corporate marketing won a national editors’ award for excellence. Ed has contributed to a magazines and papers on topics from restaurants to rock climbing. He has a BA from Haverford College.
