Ann Peters
Ann was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer in 1977 at age 33. She was given 4 months to live. Somehow, she made it through her 36 treatments over the course of the next year. Her goal was to survive one year at a time. Now 39 years later, she is cancer free. Ann started the Pink Ribbon Society in Indiana in 2002 and has been actively involved in her community supporting women ever since. She has been named Indiana’s Woman of the Year.
