Nilly Essaides
Nilly Essaides is the senior director of finance and EPM research at the Advisory Practice of the Hackett group. In this role, she collaborates with internal experts and senior finance professionals to identify emerging trends and leverages the firm’s extensive finance benchmark data base, primary research and client experience to develop best practices and define world-class finance performance. Nilly is most passionate about the way the finance function can deliver value to the enterprise. Previously, Nilly led the FP&A practice at the Association for Finance Professionals, or AFP. A graduate of Columbia University School of Journalism, Nilly brings over 25 years of experience in the finance field. She is a frequent public speaker and a prolific blogger. In 1998, Nilly co-authored a book with the CEO of the APQC, called If We Only Knew What We Know, which examined how companies can succeed by more effectively transferring internal best practices.
