Gary Lennon


Gary Lennon is a writer, producer, and director who has worked on television shows such as “Orange is the New Black,” which won him a Peabody Award, a 2015 Producers Guild Award, and a 2015 Emmy nomination. Gary also wrote on “The Shield and Justified,” for which he was awarded a Peabody Award in 2010, and a Writers Guild nomination and an AFI Award in 2011. His feature films include “Drunks” and “.45.” He is currently writing a pilot for Showtime, a mini-series for Starz, and is completing his new play, “Change,” which will have its world premiere in 2017. Gary' s three produced plays have all sold as films. “Blackout” became the film “Drunks,” starring Richard Lewis, Faye Dunaway and Diane Weist, “.45” was adapted into a film that starred Milla Jovovich. “Dates and Nuts” sold to producer Edward R. Pressman. Gary has also sold feature screenplays to Disney, Universal, Fox, and Intermedia. He is currently an executive producer and writer on POWER for Starz.
