Anna Sotelo-Peryea, MUP
Anna Sotelo-Peryea, MUP, is the Public Health Planner and Violence Prevention Coordinator for the University at Buffalo, and has developed and managed its award-winning Violence Prevention Program for Wellness Education Services over the past 9 years. Her primary areas of focus are health promotion, cultivating student leaders, and engaging in targeted prevention education to create a safer, more welcoming environment for students to flourish. Anna has taught bystander intervention, survivor empathy, media analysis, and community development to students in the allied health field, and has presented in both National and local arenas. Additionally, Anna won the 2015 Outstanding Service Award, 2015 BACCHUS National Outstanding Advisor Award for her work with two Sexual Violence focused Peer Education groups and the Sigma Psi Zeta sorority, and was recognized by the Student Assembly of SUNY as a friend and supporter of the students of the State University of New York.
