Dr. Kevin T Murphy
Kevin T. Murphy, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in treating tumors of the central nervous system (CNS), or brain and spinal cord. Dr. Murphy directs Stereotactic Radiosurgery at UC San Diego Health. His expertise includes using novel technologies such as frameless stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), intensity modulated stereotactic radiosurgery (IM-SRS) and hypo fractionated stereotactic radiosurgery to treat brain tumors in adults and children. Dr. Murphy is the director to the Pediatric Radiation Oncology Program for UCSD Health and Rady’s Children’s Hospital. This program provides treatment for common and rare pediatric cancers, (Wilm’s tumor, bone and soft tissue sarcomas, leukemia, and solid tumors). He’s a professor and the vice chair in the Dept. of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences at UCSD School of Medicine. Dr. Murphy’s research focuses on using rTMS to restore neuronal synchrony. He also has an ongoing trial treating veterans with PTSD.
