Evanson Kariuki


Evanson Kariuki is a native Kenyan who is passionate about preserving his country’s natural treasurers. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Public administration from Moi University. While at the University, Evanson began to take an active interest in wildlife conservation. In 2001, Partnering with colleagues to form Youth for Conservation, an indigenous wildlife conservation with KWS to remove snares and works with leading community scouts in the Maasai Mara. In 2008, he was nominated graduated the prestigious College of African Wildlife Management (Mweka) Tanzania with a Post Graduate Diploma in Wildlife Management specializing on the Bushmeat. Evanson has worked as Field Program Coordinator for Wildize; projects Manager for Care for the Wild Kenya; and member of Bushmeat Free Eastern Africa Network (BEAN), and trains game scouts on bushmeat monitoring and reporting. Currently Master’s Degree in Environmental Planning and Management at the University of Nairobi.
