Janelle Allen
Janelle Allen is a serial entrepreneur, writer and professionally trained online course and curriculum designer. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in English (Creative Writing) and a Masters of Science in Instructional Technology, from Georgia State University.
In 2012, Janelle quit her job as Senior Instructional Designer at Pearson Education to launch Learnwise, where she managed the development of online courses for corporations and universities alike. In addition to managing over one hundred online courses, she worked closely with stakeholders and guided Subject Matter Experts to ensure each course exceeded learning standards.
After three years of running Learnwise, Janelle decided to embrace a new vision: to share her knowledge of online courses with entrepreneurs. She launched Zen Courses, a resource for online entrepreneurs who want to make online courses that get results. Janelle lives in the great city of Chicago with her partner and is an avid cyclist.
