Eric D Grimes
Eric D. Grimes is the co-founder of Video Extraction, Inc. and a former New York City Detective. In 2009, Eric suffered a debilitating accident resulting in losing his lower left leg. After a grueling rehabilitation, Eric returned to work in just 10 months. There Eric found an interest in video evidence retrieval while working in the Technical Assistance Response Unit. During his tenure, Eric extracted thousands of pieces of video evidence, was responsible for the operation & dissemination of video & audio equipment during hostage negotiations, & extracted video evidence for all NYPD shootings & overt & covert cameras citywide.
Eric is a recipient of the Teddy Roosevelt, Purple Shield, and Honor Legion Awards for New York State and New York Shield Society. He is qualified as a video evidence expert witness & recognized by the State of New York as a general topics criminal justice instructor with lectures on video evidence, undercover equipment, & covert video surveillance techniques.
