Terri Bowersock

Growing up voted "least likely to succeed," due to her dyslexia, Terri Bowersock found that she did just the opposite.
In 1979, Terri and her mother borrowed $2,000 from her grandmother. She then took her mom's living room furniture and her childhood bedroom set, starting Terri's Home Store, eventually building it nationwide.
After setting out to Arizona State University to learn to spell and read better, Terri gathered a chief executive officer, a chief operations officer and a chief financial officer on board. She then started franchising Terri's Consign and Design and later developed Shop Local Deals as a counterpart.
She became nationally recognized with 420 articles and 25 local and national awards. Terri started giving speeches in schools and universities, to chambers of commerce and entrepreneurial groups nationwide. Following, she was featured as an "unexpected millionaire" on Oprah, changing her life forever.
Terri's success is a testimony to her dedication and passion.
