John Hickenlooper
John Hickenlooper Jr. is the 42nd and current Governor of Colorado. Prior to his election to governorship in 2011, Hickenlooper served as Mayor of Denver, Colorado from 2003-2011. In 2005, after serving only two years as Mayor, Time magazine placed Hickenlooper among the top five "big-city" mayors in the country. In 2008, Hickenlooper successfully marketed Denver's long-shot bid for the 2008 Democratic National Convention, putting Colorado on the international stage and boosting the local economy. He served as chairman of the National Governor’s Association from 2014-2015 and is currently a member of the Western Governors’ Association.
