Dr. Cal Garbin


A psychology professor and research psychologist at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a doctorate in experimental psychology, Dr. Cal Garbin’s work with graduate and undergraduate students focuses on research methods and data analytic strategies that are integrated by psychologists to evaluate theory and guide practice. He teaches advanced courses in research methods, data analysis, advanced research methods and measurement and prediction.
Garbin is the recipient of numerous teaching awards, most recently the 2009 University of Nebraska Outstanding Teaching and Instructional Creativity Award. Garbin has also had a significant impact on student learning outside the classroom, having supervised over 400 undergraduate research presentations and served on more than 100 dissertation committees. His colleagues praised him for putting teaching first and for contributing to the teaching excellence of others.
