Horst Schulze is one of the foremost hoteliers in the world. As the current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Capella Hotels and Resorts and Solis Hotels & Resorts. Schulze co-founded The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and filled several roles culminating as President at The Ritz-Carlton Company, L.L.C. There he was instrumental in the conceptualization of the operating and service standards becoming two-time Malcolm Baldrige Award winners during his leadership. Schulze has been recognized as “Corporate Hotelier of the World,” by HOTELS Magazine, and was awarded the prestigious Ishikawa Medal for his personal contributions to the quality movement. He serves on the boards of Cancer Treatment Centers of America Inc., The Travel Institute, Georgia Family Council and The InfiLaw System. Schulze received an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University.
