Rod Brooks, President & CEO of Stop Hunger Now, is a passionate leader dedicated to ending hunger. Stop Hunger Now’s meal packaging program, which provides life-saving meals to partner organizations in more than thirty countries, has expanded to engage more than 650,000 volunteers in twenty cities throughout the United States, as well as six countries internationally. As a measure of donor engagement, cash contributions have grown from $800,000 in 2006 to more than $18 million in 2015. Rod speaks frequently about the imperative to end hunger and has appeared on Bloomberg Television’s “Money Moves with Deirdre Bolton,” as well as in other news programs and publications. Rod received a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from UNC Chapel Hill in 1989, speaks Spanish fluently, and lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife, Terry Jasper Brooks, and daughter, Vivian.
