Dan Stone, MSW, LCSW, LISAC, CT is a social worker and counselor who specializes in addictions and grief. Dan has been a counselor at Cottonwood Tucson since 1995. He has worked with adults and adolescent females providing substance abuse assessments, relapse prevention workshops, and individual and group grief sessions for patients and family members. He has also been a primary counselor on the adult unit as well as working with adolescent females. He has presented on Complicated Grief in both Tucson, New York and London and has facilitated workshops for clients experiencing loss.
Dan has had a private practice in Tucson since 1999. He has treated adult clients of all ages who have a variety of problems. Since 1998 Dan has received training in developing an expertise in grief counseling and grief therapy through his membership in the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC). Dan is a graduate of New York University’s School of Social Work.
