Dorothy Dabney
Dorothy has an art and design background, with a BFA in Crafts from Virginia Commonwealth
University. Her passion has always been about health and fitness, and she has enjoyed
being somewhat of a fitness motivator for others. In addition to working as an artist/designer and
sales rep in the gift industry, K-8 art teacher, and more recently, substitute teacher on the high
school level, she was an aerobics/step aerobics and weight training instructor for 10 years. Dorothy has been a runner for over 30 years, and has competed in hundreds of races during this span of time.
Rather than join in the attitude of many of her contemporaries, she feels like she is getting younger.
On the personal side, Dorothy lives in Charlottesville, VA. with husband Bill, and I has 3 grown children.
