Ifalade TaShia Asanti is award-winning screenwriter, journalist and author of five books including 2 novels, The Seer: Legacy of Stone & Spirit (adapted for 3 TV Shows and optioned by Sundance) and The Bones Do Talk and two non-fiction books, The Sacred Door and The Master Breakthrough as well as a collection of erotic fiction Fluid: Out of Darkness Comes Light. TaShia also co-edited two award-winning anthologies Tapestries of Faith and Letters To My Bully (Glover Lane Press).
Ta’Shia is the recipient of several awards for her writing including the Kathleen E. Morris Award for Best Contemporary Fiction and the Seed Scholarship Award given by the International Writers and Artists Organization. TaShia was also named a Distinguished Fellow by the Lambda Literary Foundation. Ta’Shia founded the Read US Book Awards at the Urban Spectrum Newspaper where she was editor.
