Few entertainers can command a stage like the indefatigable, Sweet Baby J'ai. She is a multi-award winning, critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, arranger playwright, director and actress who has toured the world with her distinctive sound. She has been heard on radio and television both nationally and internationally and has performed extensively in the U.S. Europe and Asia being featured at numerous concert halls, festivals and events around the world, from the Walt Disney Concert Hall to the Casablanca Jazz Festival and more. As Artistic Director of the Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival, J’ai celebrates the musical history and the contribution that women have played in jazz emphasizing the thematic diversity of women in jazz by featuring straight-ahead, contemporary and Latin jazz, blues, funk and more! Known for her sensual and powerful vocals, some critics describe her as a "jazz singer", others as a "blues singer” but all agree that she is a "storyteller".
