Robert Benkowski
Robert Benkowski is the CEO of B-Squared Medical Device Solutions and Co-Founder and Managing Director of DesignPlex Biomedical, which designs and manufactures medical devices, medical-grade instruments, software and network interfaces to remotely visualize information in real-time. His career began in aerospace as a mechanical design engineer, eventually bringing him to Johnson Space Center. Through NASA’s relationship with Dr. DeBakey, he later moved to the surgical engineering lab at Baylor College of Medicine working on the NASA blood pump and other medical devices. In addition to designing medical devices, he has built out biologic and medical device facilities and has overseen operations in the US, Switzerland and Curacao. He has a passion for bringing different fields together to find creative solutions and advance medical technologies.
