Reverend Ty Bledsoe

Reverend Ty Bledsoe

Ty Bledsoe is a motivational speaker, coalition builder, husband and father. A third-generation ordained clergy, Rev. Bledsoe became a licensed minister at age 16, and an ordained minister at age 21. Currently, he serves at One Community Church, a non-denominational Christian church in Plano, Texas with over 7,000 members. His inspirational journey led him to the University of California, Davis in 1997 for undergrad. In 2001, shortly before the terrorist attacks on 9/11, Mr. Bledsoe was elected as the first black Student Body President at the University of California, Davis in over 50 years and then shockingly disqualified. Following his election as ASUCD President and subsequent disqualification in 2001, Ty delivered arousing speech titled, “There’s Victory on the Mountaintop” at a UC Davis rally. Over time, Ty’s inspiring speech became his theme as Student Body President, minister, and business leader. Hence, The Mountaintop, is the theme of his debut book.
