Melanie Cornejo
Melanie Cornejo is the Provost (Executive Academic Director) at Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) since January, 2016. Before that, she designed, developed and launched the first Bioengineering Program in Peru for UTEC as well. She has spearheaded the radical transformation of the educational model and faculty development model at UTEC and is currently leading the implementation and change management process. Prior to UTEC, Dr. Cornejo was an associate at the largest consulting firm in Peru, Apoyo Consultoría, as part of the strategy consulting department. Before that, she was a Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in the New York Metro office. Dr. Cornejo obtained a double B.S. degree from MIT in Biology and Brain and Cognitive Sciences and holds a PhD in Immunology from Harvard University. She has published several articles in peer-reviewed biomedical science journals and has recently started publishing in the field of engineering education.
