Jill Stein


Jill Stein is an American physician and the 2016 and 2012 Green Party nominee for President of the United States. Stein entered politics in 2002, when she ran for Governor of Massachusetts representing the Green-Rainbow Party. She later represented the Green-Rainbow Party in the race for State Representative in 2004, and Secretary of State in 2006. Stein is the co-founder of the Massachusetts Coalition for Healthy Communities, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of Massachusetts communities. She is the recipient of the Clean Water Action's "Not in Anyone's Backyard" Award, the Children's Health Hero Award, and the Toxic Action Center's Citizen Award.
