Dr. Kelly Diehl
Dr. Kelly Diehl is a research scientist and writer with Morris Animal Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Denver, Colorado, that supports scientific research to improve animal health and well-being. Dr. Diehl received her doctor of veterinary medicine from the University of Tennessee, and is a board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist.
Dr. Diehl started her career at a bustling emergency clinic in New Jersey, where she spent a year prior to returning to academia for her internship and residency. After postdoctoral work at National Jewish Health, she joined the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado as co-owner of the internal medicine section. After 14 years in private practice, she joined the Morris Animal Foundation family. Dr. Diehl lives in Colorado with her husband, two children, a three-legged cat, too many fish to count, one lovable Labrador retriever, and shared custody of a tortoise.
