Jason Rhodes
Jason Rhodes is the Media Manager for the Overland Park Fire Department in Overland Park, Kansas. Overland Park is the second largest city in Kansas, encompassing about 75 square miles and boasting about 180,000 residents. Jason grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism. Jason worked in television news for almost 20 years, most of that time as a cameraman. Jason spent many of those years at KMBC-TV-9 in Kansas City and was privileged to work with some of the finest broadcasters in the business.
In 2005, Jason joined the Overland Park Fire Department as their Media Manager. Jason’s responsibilities include operating a small TV studio at the department’s Fire Training Center and serving as OPFD’s Public Information Officer. Jason is responsible for internal and external communication products, training products and public safety information products.
