Cliff Wiebe

Cliff Wiebe has worked in both international and domestic settings addressing poverty issues for the past 20 years. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, both he and his wife spent three years living and working in Indonesia. Upon returning to Canada, he received a graduate degree non-profit leadership from Trinity Western University. From there he went to work for organizations like Compassion Canada and Samaritan’s Purse. Through volunteering with Inn from the Cold, in 2007 Cliff saw that there was poverty right in his own city of Calgary and made the shift from working internationally to working domestically. He realized that although poverty might look different in various parts of the world, the root causes are the same everywhere, which are broken relationships at many different levels. Since working domestically, he has worked for great organizations like The Mustard Seed and Next Step Ministries (NSM), where he is currently on staff as their Strategy Officer.
