Steve Carman
Steven Carman is the President of Carman & Associates Fire Investigation, Inc. in Northern California. He served as an ATF Certified Fire Investigator for 15 years and spent more than nine years as a member of the ATF's National Response Team. In 1998, Carman was selected as the ATF Agent of the Year for work done on two arson homicide cases. Carman holds a B.S. degree with High Honors in Physical Sciences from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a M.Sc. degree with Distinction in Fire Protection Engineering from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
Carman is a past member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Arson Investigators and still serves on the IAAI Training and Education Committee. Currently he sits on the Editorial Board of the international journal, Fire Technology. He has lectured internationally on such topics as Fire Dynamics, Ventilation Limited Fire Behavior,
Elevated Fires and Computer Fire Modeling.
