Jonathan Adler is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Olin College of Engineering. His research focuses on identity development in adulthood and the relationships between identity and psychological well-being. He is especially interested in the way we craft the story of our lives and how those stories do and do not support our mental health. Adler also serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Personality and as Chief Scientific Officer of Health Story Collaborative, a non-profit organization that helps medical patients tell the story of their experiences with illness and healing. Adler’s work has been covered in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, The Atlantic, Scientific American, Business Insider, and many other outlets.
