Valerie Paradiz, PhD is the director of Valerie Paradiz, LLC, a consultancy that provides technical assistance, training and strategic development to schools, universities, corporations and institutions that support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities.
Dr. Paradiz is a national board member of Autism Speaks, where she also serves as Secretary of the Board and Chair of the Family Services Committee. In a part-time capacity she serves as Director of the National Autism Leadership Institute of First Place Arizona.
Dr. Paradiz founded the pioneering ASPIE School in 2002 for middle and high school aged students with autism. In 2006, she brought the same model program to New York University's Asperger Institute, serving there as Director of Education from 2006-2007. During this period, she participated in a study of adults with autism at NYU Medical Center and was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome.
