Susan Edel
Susan Edel is a volunteer with the Tracing Department, also called the Restoring Family Links Service, of Magen David Adom in Israel. In addition to helping families torn apart by the Holocaust, Magen David Adom is Israel's national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance and blood bank service. (The name means "Red Star of David".) Since the Tracing Department was founded in 2008, over 3,500 cases have been researched and many families have been miraculously and joyfully reunited. In other cases, when lost relatives were killed in the Holocaust, MDA has been able to find out what happened and provide closure to their families.
