Mr. Troy Lewis
Troy Lewis has worked in the pharmaceutical sales and training arena for over 19 years. Colleagues enjoyed his life lesson stories and encouraged him to share them with others. One person is quoted as saying, “If you write a story nearly as well as you tell it, then you should write a book!” His mother had been urging him to do the same for years. Heeding their advice, he began writing his first book, Gas Money, which compiles stories from his small-town childhood experiences in segregated 1960s Virginia to the present. Since its release in July of 2015, Gas Money has been featured on C-SPAN, PBS, in the Huffington Post, Publishers Weekly and various newspapers throughout the country. Gas Money has also been featured on Sirius XM’s The Urban View Channel, WBLS-FM in New York City, WURD-AM and WWDB-AM in Philadelphia, Star 100.9 in Richmond, VA and WVOX-AM in New Rochelle, NY. Mr. Lewis is a dynamic speaker and has made his home in the NY metro area since 1996.
