Kelli Dunham
Kelli Dunham is the ex-nun genderqueer nurse storytelling nerd comic so common in modern Brooklyn.Kelli has appeared on Showtime, the Discovery Channel and at colleges, prides, and the occasional livestock auction. She is the author of seven books of humorous mostly health related nonfiction, including the 2013 Freak of Nurture (Topside Press), a collection of horrifying/funny tales of grief, caregiving and exploding knee replacements. Kelli was nominated to be a 2105 White House Champion of Change for her work as the co-founder and producer of Queer Memoir, NYC's longest-running most earnest LGBT storytelling event. She is the founder and producer of Organ Recital: A Festival of Stories About Bodies, Health & Healthcare.
Her one person shows include Bad Habit (tales of an ex-nun), Pudding Day and the current Jesus Was No Sissy, about how good Christian girls who might be boys learn about masculinity and femininity and the size of Jesus' biceps at the Lord's Boot Camp and beyond.
