Marty Groover
Marty Groover spent 22 years in the US Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer. Since retiring in 2007 and joining Caterpillar he has held positions as 6 Sigma Black Belt, Manufacturing Engineer Manager of Track Type Tractor facility. In 2012 he became Operations Manager for Caterpillar Track Components facility which went live with SAP shortly after his arrival. Iit was one of the best SAP go live facilities and emerged as SAP leader in operational excellence. Marty became Facility Manager in 2014 and with his team developed an extensive Manufacturing Intelligence suite for Quality, Operations and Supply Chain. Marty was selected to lead the GIS’ Global ERP Deployment and Support in 2015 and was responsible for all ERP deployments, Manufacturing Intelligence and manufacturing support for the enterprise. He is currently leading an SAP co-innovation project in the Business Construction Products which incorporates four cloud Leonardo platform products and several IIoT technology capabilities.
