Monica Green has been an educator in DC, MD, and VA for fourteen years teaching English and Theater. She has also spent four years as a coordinator for the AVID program, a college-preparatory program aimed at making college accessible to all students. As an entrepreneur, Monica has partnered with schools and educational organizations to provide curriculum writing and professional development consulting services. She is also a student in the dissertation-writing phase of a Ph.D in Educational Leadership. Monica enjoys camping, hiking and traveling with her husband, Roy, and twelve-year-old son, Sean. As the founder of Capital Village Schools, she is relentlessly committed to redesigning the school experience by combining personalized learning, real world learning adventures, partnerships that capitalize on community resources, and an intentionally small village that is focused on the whole child.
