Alex Koenen
I am a recently retired Private Fire Investigator with 34 years of experience serving the insurance and manufacturing industries and the legal profession. I retired from a nationwide engineering and fire investigation firm where I performed both investigative and managerial functions. I have investigated over 4,000 fires and have testified in both civil and criminal courts regarding the origin and cause of fires. Prior to being a fire investigator, I was a police officer and detective for 10 years including assignments to Internal Affairs and the metropolitan Major Case Squad.
Since retiring I have continued to serve on the Board of Directors of the Kansas Chapter- International Association of Arson Investigators and am currently the President of the Kansas City Arson Task Force.
