Joe Schum IV


Joe Schum is a dedicated public safety professional with over 20-years of volunteer and paid professional experience providing emergency services, education, and training to citizens, public safety members, and college students. He holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Fire and Emergency Services Administration from Colorado State University, and an Associates of Applied Science in Fire Science Technology from Colorado Mountain College. Joe has served as a fire explorer, firefighter, apparatus operator, company officer, and training officer during his career; he is currently a Captain for the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District in Reno, NV. Joe is a Certified Facilitator for IPSLEI and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Leadership Development Program. He enjoys engaging others to think philosophically and critically while supporting them to reach greater potential.
