Jeff Spaulding


FEC Fire Investigator Jeff Spaulding has been in the fire service industry for the past twenty years, functioning in a variety of both fire and emergency medical service (EMS) positions. Currently, he is the Hazardous Materials Response Team Captain for the Middletown Fire Department. As captain, Jeff is responsible for the day-to-day operations of two fire stations and responding to both emergent and non-emergent calls for service. At times, he functions as the shift commander responsible for the management of five fire stations and is the incident commander for all major occurrences.
Formerly, Jeff was the Firefighting Academy Coordinator for Butler Technology and Career Development Schools. During this experience, he supervised numerous fire service instructors and was responsible for developing and instructing a variety of courses in the areas of fire suppression and tactics, fire and life safety, fire prevention, fire origin and cause and fire scene reconstruction.
