Bo Roberts


Bo Roberts served as a fire fighter in Shreveport, Louisiana for thirty years (1970-2000). After graduating from the FBI’s Bomb and Hazardous Device School, he served as the Shreveport Fire Department’s Chief of Investigations and Bomb Squad from 1987 to 1993. In 1993 he was named Chief of the Shreveport Fire Department. During his seven year tenure as Chief, he led the department to its first ever Class 1 rating from the ISO and served in the aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing, commanding a search and rescue team and aiding in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. Since his retirement from the fire department in 2000, Roberts has worked privately as an Origin and Cause Specialist, investigating fires for insurance companies and manufacturers. He continues to teach fire investigation for various Fire Departments and agencies throughout Louisiana and Arkansas.
