Dr. Ann Kaiser Stearns


The author of the national best seller Living Through Personal Crisis, published in seven languages, Ann Kaiser Stearns, PhD, is a professor of behavioral science at the Community College of Baltimore County. She has received excellence in teaching awards from the Maryland Psychological Association, Johns Hopkins University, and Loyola University Maryland. Dr. Stearns lectures widely around the country and has given more than 200 radio and television interviews nationwide. Her public television special, "Living Through Personal Crisis with Dr. Ann Kaiser Stearns" aired in Canada and nationwide in the U.S. more than 234 times. Dr. Stearns has often taught veteran police officers and commanders from across the state of Maryland and was ten years on the faculty of The Family Practice Residency Program at Franklin Square Hospital. Earlier in her career, she was an associate chaplain at Michigan State University.
