Glen Duff


Glen began his career in pharmaceutical sales with Burroughs-Wellcome & Co. and joined Ciba-Geigy in 1966 and after several years was promoted into the Training Department. His career progressed to Training Manager during which time his department was responsible for technical, sales and managerial skills training of pharmaceutical representatives. He was then promoted to Director, Issues Management reporting to the President and headed a department responsible for public and government affairs, communications and issues management. He held this position until the merger of Ciba and Sandoz on January 1, 1997 to form Novartis. Although Glen retired after 32 years, he worked on contract as Executive-Director, Federal Affairs for Novartis Pharmaceuticals until July, 1998. In 1997 formed the consulting firm G&S Duff Associates Inc. He is the Recipient of the 1992 Commemorative Medal for the125th anniversary of confederation conferred by the Governor General of Canada.
