Mary-Ann Rich, MS, RN-BC, CNOR


Mary-Ann Rich is currently a clinical nurse educator for the OR at UCSF, certified in OR nursing and professional development. Her BS is from the University of Maryland during her service in a military academy, Walter Reed Army Institute of Nursing. She obtained an MS from UCSF followed by a fellowship in Advance Health Care Simulation at the Department of Veterans Affairs in San Francisco. Mary-Ann, an Iraq War Veteran, finished a long career of both active duty and reserve service with a deployment to Iraq as Chief of the OR & hospital liaison to the provincial reconstruction team of Salah ad Din in Iraq. She had many years as an OR manager with her earlier career as an ICU & CCU nurse. She volunteered in support of veterans recovering from PTSD and supported the Veteran’s Book project while publishing her Memoirs about Iraq. Mary-Ann was awarded many decorations, medals, badges, citations and campaign ribbons.
