Bret Heidkamp

Bret started shooting .22 rifles at 5. He shot smallbore back when it wasn't taboo to shoot. He was able to shoot and compete in various high school marksmanship programs in California. How times have changed! He switched to IPSC as an adult, working his way up to top Open class Master in the nation at 94.96%. He won Area 1 overall and lots of state matches.

Bret put on long range rifle matches in the great state of Montana which he called home for over 20 years. He designed challenging courses that were focused on shooting skills, not cardio, so everyone could attend.

He started Crosstac in 2007 out of frustration with the gear on the market either being of poor quality or not designed well. Crosstac now has factories in Colorado and Florida and produces a full line of shooting accessories both sewn, and CNC machined, while remaining a small company true to its design roots.
