Hannah Romanowsky M.A. has been researching, embodying, and teaching women’s dances from the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia for over two decades. Initially trained in ballet, jazz, and musical theater, her life-long devotion to dance as a vehicle of joy, healing, and transformation inspired her to found the DanceVersity multi-cultural youth arts education program in 2005, and the Scheherazade School of Sacred Movement in 2017. Hannah holds a B.A. in Dance Ethnology and World Music, and an M.A. in East-West Psychology. While continuing to educate dance aficionados and the general public on dance technique, culture and history through performances, lecture presentations, classes, workshops, private coaching, and weekend intensives, Hannah also mentors clients therapeutically and hosts women’s sacred dance workshops and weekend immersions.
