Restaurateur Jeff Ruby has been a racing fan since high school. Aside from running some of the best Steak Houses in the Midwest, Jeff Ruby has been a horse owner and a huge supporter of the Permanently Disabled Jockey Fund. Many have seen his logo on the pants of high profile jockeys, but now he is taking his exposure in the racing game to a new level - as the sponsor of a graded stakes race - the Jeff Ruby Steaks of 2018 renewal (formerly the Spiral Stakes) at Turfway Park.
